EVS Class 1
About This Course
Learning is most meaningful when it connects with life—and that is the heart of
Tiny Trails. This Environmental Studies series is designed to make the world a
classroom, where everyday experiences transform into exciting discoveries. From
the food we eat and the homes we live in to the changing weather, buzzing nature
and bustling transport around us—each theme brings real-life relevance into
learning.
Aligned with the vision of NEP 2020 and the NCF 2023, Tiny Trails embraces the
Foundational and Preparatory Stage goals. It goes beyond rote memorization to
encourage experiential and inquiry-based learning, sparking curiosity through
observation, analysis, and discussion. Every lesson begins with a context children
can relate to and grows through activities like surveys, local studies, and hands-on
explorations—because learning by doing is learning for life.
The chapters are woven with diverse, meaningful themes—from the wonders of
nature and human-made marvels to body systems, community helpers, festivals,
and values. Through these, learners develop an understanding of concepts like
sustainability, empathy, cooperation, and fairness.
